Pebmarsh

Pebmarsh Essex CO9 2NH

Pebmarsh is a tiny rural village tucked away from the main roads in lovely countryside.

The village pub is The King’s head – a community ‘Buy-Out’ so is a real local with a great atmosphere serving good home-cooked food and real ales.

The river Peb runs straight through the centre of the village and there is a pretty 14th century church.

Pebmarsh has two very picturesque reservoirs – one in the centre of the village with plenty of fish for fishing and the other, Prestons lake, open all year with large fish stocks over 19 acres.

The village is surrounded by farmland and a ‘real’ farm which sells its own beef and lamb.  Pebmarsh is also home to The Foragers Retreat, a super local restaurant run by Carl Shillingford.
